In Memory of Major Stuart Young
Last Friday, April 22, 2016, was the funeral of Major Stuart Young, the prospective Clan Chief and Convener of Clan Young UK. He’s a big loss for his family and friends and for the entire Clan Young. He meant dearly to many people. He passed away on April 2, 2016 at 57. He’s left his wife Rosie, two sons, Callum and Angus, and his 7-year old daughter Kathryn. Stuart young lived with his family in Great Bookam in Surrey.
Stuart worked with Worldwide Young Societies like those in Canada and the US, paying them a visit and explaining how they should all be working together to support his candidacy to be the next chief in the family. It was only five years before he becomes the Chief of Clan Young. However, he’s surely left the clan stronger because of the work he did and the efforts he exerted for them to come up with a unified future.
He was one of the members of the London Scottish and he’s helped run the pipe brand for more than 20 years.
When Prince William and Katherine got married, Stuart has gone to Buckingham palace to assist Prince Edward dress properly in London Scottish Holden Gray Tartan and to show him how officers should wear their uniform.
Youngsters all around the world raised a dram to give honour to Stuart at 12.00 on April 24th2016. Stuart’s favorite was Jura.
The whole world extends the deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Stuart Young. He will surely be remembered and never shall he be forgotten.
