R.Ex.Comp. Glenson T. Jones, Grand Superintendent - Royal Arch District No.13, in 1996
established the award to promote inter-chapter visitation and participation in district events. The award is presented annually to the Chapter which has accummulated the most participation points, during a calendar year. Points are awarded for attendance at the following functions: • Travelling Scepter Visits; • Grand Superintendent Official Visits; and • District Events. In 2003 when the Grand Chapter re-aligned Royal Arch Districts it was agreed to expand the scope of the participation trophy to include Chapters from both Districts 12 & 13.
